AION 2 Fire Temple: Operate the Coolant Console yourself for its ten-operation goal, deliberately include Silver Blade Rotan for his five-kill goal, and fight both named mid-bosses for I'm Pulling This. These are Single source method drafts: the goals are documented, but complete counter and participation rules are not independently confirmed.

Choose a side-objective run before entering

Tell the group which goal you need. A quick clear, a full-reward run and an achievement detour have different priorities. Ask to operate a console before another player uses it, and agree on Rotan before pulling an optional enemy into the group.

This route uses the normal Conquest walkthrough in AION 2 Fire Temple guide: bosses and flame walls: level 45 and item level 2,100 are entry gates, not a promise that your character can carry it. Exploration's separate gate is level 35/item level 500. UNSURE: whether these three side-objective counters pool every difficulty; their descriptions do not name a difficulty. Do not assume progress in one mode proves cross-mode credit.

NC's November 4 hotfix corrects unintended Hard choices for Fire Temple and Horn Den. Update through Steam or PURPLE and restart if you still see one. Historical Hard database rows do not establish a playable global mode.

The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway!: ten operations

The journal asks for 10 Coolant Console operations. Its listed reward is one Mana Potion (Bound) and 4,000 Kina (Bound), separate from group-completion bonuses.

  1. Open the Fire Temple journal group and note your current console count.
  2. Agree that you will handle an unused console. The route has console areas on both branches beyond the initial approach; follow the object name rather than a guessed coordinate.
  3. Reach the console with the party's support. Avoid starting the interaction while dragging Rotan or an extra pack onto yourself.
  4. Finish the interaction. Raid Relay reports a three-second use; wait for completion rather than treating the first button press as progress.
  5. Reopen your journal and compare the counter. Continue ordinary runs until the recorded total reaches ten, then check the reward state.

Single source: Grimvane's Ignus guide says console credit belongs to the operator. Standing nearby while a teammate uses it is not a confirmed substitute. The same guide describes two consoles reducing the falling-fire hazard; that helps explain why console duty can benefit the party too.

UNSURE: interruption behavior, repeat use of an already activated object, reset farming and character/server sharing. Two consoles on a route do not prove two credits for every player or a guaranteed five-run completion. If the count stays unchanged, note which console you used and whether its interaction completed before spending another entry chasing a shortcut.

I'm Pulling This I-IV: include both mid-bosses

The named targets are Red Spark Ignus and Black Smoke Murute. The published tiers list 5, 10, 15 and 20; the corresponding Kina (Bound) rewards are 4,000, 6,000, 8,000 and 10,000.

  1. Check the entry in the Fire Temple group. Other dungeons reuse the name I'm Pulling This.
  2. Agree on both mid-bosses before starting. A route that skips one is a poor way to chase a goal naming both.
  3. Stay with the party for Ignus and Murute. Use AION 2 Fire Temple guide: bosses and flame walls for the actual fight cues, including pool placement, spreading and ground attacks.
  4. After each named kill, inspect your journal's visible progress. Complete the rest of the dungeon normally and check again before leaving.
  5. Claim earned tiers as the journal makes them available. Keep each tier's target distinct from a fresh quota of extra kills.

UNSURE: the counter's exact relationship between the two targets. The public descriptions do not prove whether the game tracks separate requirements, paired completions or another event condition. We therefore do not promise that one Ignus plus one Murute means two credits, or that the final tier takes exactly twenty runs. Last-hit, distance, death and late-join credit also remain unresolved. Fighting both with the party is the conservative draft method, not a verified shortcut.

First Taste of Fire: five Silver Blade Rotans

The goal names five Silver Blade Rotans and lists 3,000 Kina (Bound). Rotan is the patrolling optional enemy, not another name for Ignus, Murute or Kromede.

  1. Arrange a Rotan detour with the party. Watch for the named patrol between the console areas instead of attacking an unrelated fire creature.
  2. Choose clear ground away from lava and nearby packs. Grimvane describes a rolling charge that knocks players down; leave space to recover without falling into a hazard.
  3. Bring the party together before engaging. If Rotan notices you while you are running ahead, stop trying to turn the chase into an accidental boss pull.
  4. Defeat Rotan, then check your own First Taste of Fire counter. Repeat on later ordinary runs until it records five.

Single source: the patrol/combat advice comes from Grimvane; the goal and reward are corroborated as metadata. UNSURE: shared kill credit, respawn/reset behavior, qualifying mode and whether a final-boss clear is required to retain progress. No respawn timer or five-minute farm is established. Cube loot and this journal objective are separate reasons to include an optional enemy.

Difficulty, time and roadmap

Hizzle's editorial estimate is 5/10 for this normal-Conquest route, based on its entry tier and the need to manage additional encounters. It is not a measured success rate or a solo gear recommendation. These goals list no DLC or story point of no return; permanent missability and future changes are UNSURE. A group is recommended for this draft; mandatory party size is not established by the objectives.

There is no reliable elapsed-time estimate. Work toward ten recorded operations, five recorded Rotan kills and the four mid-boss tiers while learning normal clears. The speedrun, perfect and solo criteria still need their own method audits. We have not played or tested these methods in-game.
