- Skipping the basics in Getting Started. Then: resetting a run too young. Let the early burst finish. See When to Do a Loop Reset.
- Forgetting to spend shards before a reset. They are gone. See Before You Reset.
- Buying MP upgrades late in a run. They help only fills after the buy. See Mod Points.
- Doing by hand what automation already does. See Automation.
- Buying what is cheap instead of what is the bottleneck. See Troubleshooting Slow Progress.
- Tapping Level Up twice because the panel stays open. See Mod Tree Basics.
- Trusting the Evolve button or Install button. They stay visible at cap or when you cannot afford it. Read levels and counts instead.
- Spending a rank point on a node you cannot use. See Mod Branch: Ships and Crew.
- Ignoring the daily cycle. See Daily Routine.
- Maxing one install and ignoring another independent multiplier. See Install Math.
- Copying a paid-account guide on a free account. See Late Game Routes.
- Buying Diamond or real-money items. See Diamonds.
- Touching the Cloud Save/Load tiles. Overwrite or load can wipe progress.
- Waiting too long on a stalled run. If your usual run is 2 hours and this one is 6, find the cause.
- Doing Robotic Miner levels at any price. See Mod Branch: Shards and Mining.
