Shards
Shards come from Demeter operations and buy shard milestones. Spend them before you reset because they vanish.

- Unlock: own the Demeter ship. See Demeter.
- Income: operations run on their own each tick. Nothing to claim. See Demeter Operations.
- Spend: Shard Milestones.
- Unspent shards are lost on a Loop Reset. Purchased milestone levels stay. That is the whole point of farming them.
- Shard income grows the longer a run goes, because completed operations add a bonus. See Short Runs vs Long Runs.
