Troubleshooting Slow Progress
A symptom table for when your account feels stuck, with the first thing to check.
Any time · troubleshooting, slow, stall · updated 2026-10-25
First checks: stage and game version, the next meaningful unlock, the limiting currency, any system you neglected, and the best buy versus waiting.
| Symptom | Check first |
|---|---|
| Cells crawl right after a reset | Crew, first-point installs and tech rebuilt? Automation ON? See Rebuild After a Reset |
| Many affordable buttons, little progress | Are you buying the bottleneck or just cheap additive levels? |
| MP runs stop improving | Are MP mods dried up? Is the next gain in shards, studies or missions? |
| Cannot reset quickly | Has the loop requirement outgrown easy loops? See Loops and Mod Points |
| Runs suddenly much longer than usual | Is a node you can afford being skipped? Check the Mod Tree for buyable nodes you ignored. Check the last reset hold reason. |
| Demeter feels unproductive | Ahead of the Curve set before the run? Shard milestones neglected? Run too short? |
| Koios stalls | Study rate, scientists, research time, a missing mod. Version change? |
| Campaign payout looks small | Is the rank and material multiplier rebuilt? |
| More personnel does nothing | Mission already at minimum time. Move them. |
| Slow after Ouroboros | Loadouts adapted to meltdown? Hunters growing? |
| Copied build underperforms | Do your gems, relics and stats match? |
Do not call the account ruined because of one guide's schedule.
A real example: on one account, runs that normally took about 2 to 3 hours stretched to 7 to 9 hours because the game stopped buying affordable Mod Tree nodes. The fix was to find the nodes that were affordable but skipped. If your progress drops sharply, look for a purchase you are not making.
