Minecraft: Inception trophy guide

Push a sticky piston with a piston, then use it to pull the first piston. Status: Verified.

PS5 trophy details

• Grade: Silver. Set: Expansion Pack 11. No separately purchased DLC is implied by the catalogue's expansion-pack label.
• Missable: no story-ending lockout; the task can be repeated in an eligible Survival world. Eligibility can still be lost through settings.
• Difficulty: 4/10, Hizzle editorial estimate. Time: UNSURE. Hidden flag: UNSURE.
• Players: Solo route described; online play is not required by this method. Online required: no for the described route; local play can be used for the two-player tasks.
• Roadmap: mid phase of Minecraft PS5 Platinum trophy roadmap.

What to do

1. Place a normal piston and a sticky piston directly facing each other with no gap, on level ground.
2. Power the normal piston briefly so it pushes the sticky piston back, then remove that power so the normal one retracts.
3. Power and release the sticky piston. It extends toward the normal piston, sticks to it and pulls it back when retracting.

Before you repeat it

Use separate buttons or clearly isolated circuits, not permanent power to both. The sticky piston is made from a piston and a slimeball, not a slime block.

Evidence and editions

Two independent method sources agree; the stable 26.60 notes were reviewed for relevant changes. No current PS5 in-game test is claimed. PS4 players should use this method only for a matching trophy in their own stack; see Minecraft PS5 vs PS4 trophy differences. Xbox points and Java advancement equivalence are not established by this PS5 record.
