Minecraft: Wax on, Wax off trophy guide

Wax and unwax the sixteen original copper block states. Status: Verified.

PS5 trophy details

• Grade: Bronze. Set: Expansion Pack 14. No separately purchased DLC is implied by the catalogue's expansion-pack label.
• Missable: no story-ending lockout; the task can be repeated in an eligible Survival world. Eligibility can still be lost through settings.
• Difficulty: 5/10, Hizzle editorial estimate. Time: UNSURE. Hidden flag: UNSURE.
• Players: Solo route described; online play is not required by this method. Online required: no for the described route; local play can be used for the two-player tasks.
• Roadmap: mid phase of Minecraft PS5 Platinum trophy roadmap.

What to do

1. Prepare four original shapes: copper block, cut copper, cut copper slab and cut copper stairs, at each of the four oxidation stages.
2. Use honeycomb on each of the sixteen blocks to wax it.
3. Use an axe on each waxed block to remove that wax. Keep a checklist of all sixteen shape-and-stage combinations.

Before you repeat it

The original set is 4 shapes times 4 oxidation stages, not every newer copper door or grate. Axe actions on unwaxed copper can remove oxidation, so track the state before using the axe.

Evidence and editions

Two independent method sources agree; the stable 26.60 notes were reviewed for relevant changes. No current PS5 in-game test is claimed. PS4 players should use this method only for a matching trophy in their own stack; see Minecraft PS5 vs PS4 trophy differences. Xbox points and Java advancement equivalence are not established by this PS5 record.
